Taylors Run has a heritage of consistent production of Ultrafine Saxon style Merino Wool spanning over 185 years, averaging 15.5 microns, strong staple strength exceeding 55 kN and greasy wool yields of over 75%.

Our wool brand originates from the Taylor families of “Terrible Vale”, Kentucky, NSW, Australia.  Given its significance in our wool growing history, it has been maintained by two of the family properties. Currently there are six Taylor family properties, four of which are owned and managed by sixth generation descendants.

Our Merino sheep graze on natural open pastures on the New England Tablelands of Australia. They graze among sheltering woodlands planted to regenerate soil, protect wildlife, and retain water.

Each year, we measure our progress through Natural Capital Accounting - tracking soil carbon, biodiversity, and vegetation health to ensure we are truly giving back more than we take.

The result is a fibre born of science, care, and respect. Ultrafine Merino that is soft against the skin, strong against time, and pure in its origins.

For decades much of Taylors Run Merino Wool has been directly procured by well known Italian Textile Mills, including: Giovanni Schneider and most recently by REDA.

Taylors Run Merino Wool has been woven into some of the finest fabrics in the world including Carlo Barbera, Vitale Barberis and REDA of Italy.
